Mandarmani

If one drives on from Kolkata for 172 kilometres through the Kona Expressway to reach Kolaghat, a turn towards the left will lead one to Digha. Just 2 kilometres before reaching Contai Town, one will reach the Contai Bypass road. Head on from here for another 10 kilometres to Chawalkhola. Now for a left turn from Chawalkhola and a beautiful drive through the village road will either lead one to the garden sands lying straight ahead or one can take another right turn to reach Mandarmani. 

A simpler way to reach from Kolkata is by catching a bus from Esplanade or Howrah that is heading to Chawalkhola or Digha. Cycle-rickshaws, auto-rickshaws and also hiring cars can take one from Chawalkhola to Mandarmani. The Volvo buses plying from Gariahat via Esplanade are also very popular.
